Tai Chi Ch'uan, also know as Tai Chi, is the ancient Taoist exercise used for self defense/medical purposes. Tai Chi is based on the Taoist principles of internal relaxation, yielding and no-force. The movements area slow and relaxed so that we may slow down and sense our internal selves. The Shu family Tai Chi system is taught in three parts. The Tai Chi form composed of a number of postures that are learned individually and then linked together in a nice rhythmic flow. Next, form applications, which help to give the form substance and teaches students the meaning of "yielding". Finally Form/No-Form, a unique two person exercise that goes to the core of Taoist philosophy. This is the Shu Family Tai Chi Ch'uan system created by Tony Zayner which is geared towards transformation of ones' entire life.
